Terms of Service

01Who we are
SaaSpotlight (saaspotlight.com) is operated by Axel Schapmann, sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel), based in France. Contact: axel.schapmann@gmail.com.
By using the site, submitting a product, buying a Spotlight or sponsoring, you agree to these terms.
02The service
SaaSpotlight shows one software product at a time, the Spotlight, on its homepage until 1,000 unique visitors have seen it, then moves to the next product. It also offers up to ten sponsor slots shown on every page.
A visitor is counted once the Spotlight card has actually been displayed on their screen, deduplicated per person and per Spotlight, with bots and the product owner excluded. Counts are indicative of real human exposure; we do not guarantee any number of clicks, sign-ups or sales.
03Paid Spotlights
A paid Spotlight buys a place in the queue. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay; it depends on how many paid Spotlights are already in play and is locked once paid. Paid Spotlights go on stage in the order they were bought, ahead of free entries, as soon as the stage is free and your product is complete (name, tagline, website, logo).
Payment is handled by Stripe. Prices are shown excluding VAT; applicable taxes are added at checkout according to your country.
04Free Spotlights (Lucky pool)
Any complete product can enter the Lucky pool for free. Whenever no paid Spotlight is waiting, one product is drawn at random from the pool. Entering the pool gives a chance, not a guarantee, and you can withdraw at any time from your dashboard.
05Sponsorships
A sponsorship is a monthly subscription for one of the ten slots on the rails. Its price depends on how many slots are taken when you subscribe and stays the same for as long as your subscription runs without interruption. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard (Manage subscription). The slot stays yours until the end of the period already paid, then is released. A failed payment suspends the slot after a short grace period.
06Refunds
Paid Spotlights are refunded in full only if your product is never put on stage. Once it has gone live, the Spotlight is delivered and not refundable.
Sponsorships are not refunded for the current period; cancelling stops future renewals. No prorated refund is made for unused days.
If something goes wrong on our side (a product never shown, a slot not displayed), write to axel.schapmann@gmail.com and we will fix it or refund.
07Your product and content
You must own or be authorised to promote the product you submit, and the name, tagline, logo and website you provide must be accurate and lawful. You grant us the right to display them on SaaSpotlight and in our own communications about the site.
We may refuse or remove a product that is illegal, misleading, adult, hateful, infringes someone's rights, or does not fit the site (for example, not a software product). In that case a paid Spotlight not yet shown is refunded.
08Fair use
Do not try to inflate visitor or click counts (bots, scripts, paid traffic aimed at the counters), scrape the site, or interfere with other products. We may cancel Spotlights or sponsorships obtained or used this way without refund.
09Accounts
You sign in with an email code or Google; keep access to that email safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
10Availability and liability
We aim to keep SaaSpotlight online but offer no uptime guarantee. We may change, pause or stop the service; paid Spotlights not yet shown would then be refunded.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost revenue or reputation.
11Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Material changes are announced on the site or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Consumers keep the protections of their country of residence. Disputes go to the competent courts of France.
